This opening is for a Test and Validation Engineer, in Raytheon's Operations and Supply Chain Manufacturing Engineering Services. This position is based in Forest, MS, and will support production and testing of complex electronic systems, units and modules associated with military radar and communications products.
What You Will Do- Development and maintenance of Test Procedures.
- Root cause analysis and resolution of test failures (hardware and test environment).
- Maintenance of related STE (Special Test Equipment), and specify replacement equipment when required (obsolescence)
- Train technicians to use Test Procedures and provide written directions for trouble shooting instruction
- Transform complex information and data into clear, concise, and visually engaging slides.
- Train entry level Test Engineers on test process
- Some travel will be required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering Technology or Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by the start date.
- Experience using common electronic test procedures
- Experience with test equipment
- The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects
Qualifications We Prefer- Prior RTX internship, co-op or work experience
- Interpret product specifications and requirements
- Previous experience with use of optical fiber in communication systems
- Experience with modern Automated Test Systems for electronics
- Experience performing analysis of technical data
- Lab experience with RF network analyzers and spectrum analyzers
- Experience with Linux
- Experience analyzing test data and/or determining if hardware meets specification.
