Financial Program Controls Analyst – Naval Standard Missile Systems (NSMS) program

Location

US-AZ-TUCSON, 807 ~ 1151 E Hermans Rd ~ BLDG 807, Tucson, AZ

Employment Type

Hybrid – work both onsite at selected Raytheon locations and offsite

Security Clearance

U.S. citizenship required to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance; active clearance required after day 1

Responsibilities
  • Operate independently and exercise sound judgment in forecasting, risk identification, and financial planning.
  • Provide thorough cost and schedule analysis.
  • Coordinate the development of quarterly Estimate‑at‑Completion (EAC).
  • Provide financial guidance and solutions to Program Team and Leads.
  • Prepare finance charts for Program Management Reviews, monthly operating reviews, financial overviews and other reporting activities as required.
  • Provide cost, schedule, financial analysis/reporting, funding planning, and maintenance utilizing standard company tools and processes.
  • Implementation and maintenance of Earned Value Management.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of Contract Data Requirement Lists (CDRLs).
  • Establish and maintain program logs (Work Authorization, Contract Mod Log, R&O).
What You Will Learn
  • Shape financial execution strategy at the outset of a major production contract phase within a mature defense portfolio.
  • Advanced forecasting and EAC methodologies across a complex, multi‑year production environment.
  • Integration of technology refresh and obsolescence mitigation into established production baselines.
  • Long‑lead material planning and funding strategy in coordination with Supply Chain and Operations.
  • Executive‑level communication of program financial performance and risk posture.
  • Cross‑functional influence within a matrixed organization supporting large‑scale defense production.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business related field or equivalent experience; minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or Advanced Degree in a related field with minimum 3 years experience.
  • Experience interfacing and conducting business with various functional disciplines (Contracts, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain) in program development and execution.
  • Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
  • U.S. citizenship required to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management both verbally and in written form.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to meet critical deadlines and work in a team environment to provide solutions and continuous process improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive, creative, and innovative and use critical and strategic thinking.
  • Advanced Excel skills including Power Query knowledge.

86,800 USD – 165,200 USD
