Full-time Director of Maintenance
Job PurposeResponsible for quality maintenance and Maintenance services to assure a safe healthcare environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
Accountabilities- Oversees the implementation of campus upkeep.
- Initiates preventative maintenance program.
- Maintains operational standards to comply with MS Department of Natural Resources.
- Supervises thoroughness of work team’s completed assignments.
- Assist managers with special work assignments.
- Involves staffing planning and implementing new ideas for improved operations.
- Reviews responsibility reports, justifying variances to supervisor.
- Maintains monthly employee schedules.
- Assures adequate daily staffing.
- Coordinate vacation time to allow continued adequate coverage for facility.
- Adopts mission and goals of the Maintenance department of SRMH, Inc.
- Participates in setting and evaluating yearly goals for department.
- Involves team members in implementation of goals.
- Assist in timely evaluations of team members.
- Assure compliance with JCAHO and other regulatory agencies.
- Reads regulations regularly to stay abreast of new code and rulings of different regulatory agencies.
- Updates team members on new regulations.
- Conducts team meetings per departmental policy.
- Attends outside conferences to keep current with OSHA and other agencies codes.
- Participates in hospital orientations.
- Reviews departmental policies. Manuel and project blueprints to ensure compliance with standards.
- Maintains technical and professional knowledge
- Attending educational meeting and workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
High school graduate or equivalent.
Graduate of appropriate trade school or technical college is desirable.
ExperienceThree to five years experience in the service plumbing/mechanical systems preferred.
Graduation from an accredited trade school in a related field is desirable and may substitute for up to two years of experience.
Licensure, Certification, and/or RegistrationPlumbing contractor’s license is desirable.
Welding certificate is desirable.
Valid Driver’s License.
