Grinder Opr RE, D Shift; Nights RVI-Forest, MS

Job Overview

Starting Pay: $18.20/hr plus $2.00 shift premium. Shift D days/hours:
Wednesday night/Thursday morning 1 am to 7 am and Thursday, Friday, Saturday nights 7 pm to 7 am.

• Set up and operate equipment that grinds ingredients used in the manufacturing of food products.
• Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to Tyson policies and procedures.
• Stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, shovel, climb stairs and ladders up to 60 feet, bend, stretch, reach, and work in extreme hot, cold, inclement weather, and odors.
• Use basic hand tools and perform basic mechanical and maintenance functions.
• Maintain a clean work area using soap and a high-pressure hose.
• Read and complete required logs.
• Communicate with supervisor and co-workers via two-way radio.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• May operate front-end loader or forklift and obtain required certification.

• Minimum 6 months of continuous employment with one employer within the past 12 months.
• Prefer 3 consecutive months of operator experience within the last 2 years (documented).
• Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

• Frequent exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high or precarious places, and outside weather.
• Risk of electrical shock and vibration.
• Occasional exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals and extreme heat.
• Loud noise level in the work environment.
