Job Summary
The Mirror Trimmer Labor position is responsible for inspecting poultry carcasses as they move along the processing line and trimming defects to ensure compliance with Tyson Foods quality, food safety, and customer specifications. Team members must work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining product quality, yield, and line production standards. The position requires attention to detail, knife‑handling skills, and adherence to all safety procedures.
The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Inspect poultry carcasses on the moving shackle line for defects and product quality issues.
- Trim defects from carcasses according to Tyson Foods and USDA standards.
- Remove bruises, feathers, skin defects, contamination, and other product imperfections as required.
- Utilize hand knives and other approved tools safely and effectively.
- Ensure products meet Final Product Standards (FPS) and customer specifications.
- Follow salvage and reprocessing procedures when necessary.
- Maintain production line speed while performing trimming functions accurately.
- Identify and report food safety, quality, equipment, or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Keep workstations clean and organized in accordance with sanitation requirements.
- Perform other production duties as assigned by management.
