Vac Sealer Attendant

The Vac Sealer Attendant Labor team member is responsible for operating and monitoring vacuum sealing equipment used in the packaging of poultry products. This position ensures products are properly sealed, labeled, and prepared for distribution while maintaining food safety, quality, and production standards in a fast-paced processing environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor vacuum sealing equipment to ensure products are sealed according to specifications.
• Inspect packages for proper seals, product quality, and package integrity.
• Remove defective packages and notify supervision of any equipment or product issues.
• Maintain a continuous flow of product through the vacuum sealing process to support production goals.
• Verify product information, labels, and packaging materials are correct for each production run.
• Load packaging materials into equipment as needed.
• Assist with equipment setup and changeovers when required.
• Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation.
• Keep work areas clean and organized in accordance with sanitation and food safety requirements.
• Follow all Tyson Foods safety policies, food safety programs, quality assurance standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
