Packer Labor
The Packer Labor team member is responsible for packing poultry products according to company specifications, customer requirements, food safety standards, and quality expectations. This position supports production operations by ensuring products are properly packaged, labeled, inspected, and prepared for shipment while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
- Pack poultry products into trays, bags, boxes, or other packaging containers according to production specifications.
- Verify product quality, appearance, quantity, and packaging requirements before packing.
- Place labels, date codes, and product identification materials on packaged products as required.
- Remove defective, damaged, or improperly packaged products from the production line.
- Maintain production line speed while ensuring product accuracy and quality standards are met.
- Stack, organize, and prepare packed products for palletizing and shipment.
- Follow all food safety, quality assurance, animal welfare, and USDA regulations.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work area in compliance with company policies and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety procedures.
- Assist with line changeovers, cleanup activities, and other production-related duties as assigned.
- Communicate equipment or product concerns to supervisors and team leads.
