Job Description

This position is an Assistant Manager at Domino’s Pizza. The role involves managing all aspects of store operations during the shift, including staffing, inventory, cash control, and customer relations. The Assistant Manager ensures that all policies and procedures are followed, maintains store cleanliness and appearance, processes orders, and supports the delivery team.

The store is locally owned and operated. The Assistant Manager serves as the owner’s representative, sets the example for the team, and guides all employees to meet standards of service and quality.

As the store manager for the shift, your responsibilities include:

Job Duties For All Store Team Members

  • Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk‑in cooler
  • Prepare product

  • Clean equipment and facility approximately daily
Training

Orientation and training are provided on the job.

  • Comprehend and give correct written instructions
  • Communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders, over the phone and in person
Essential Functions / Skills
  • Add, subtract, multiply and divide accurately and quickly
  • Make correct monetary change
  • Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders
  • Motor coordination of eyes and hands/fingers for precise movements
  • Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen
  • Navigate stores and delivery area; locate addresses
  • Navigate adverse terrain and carry products to delivery locations
Work Conditions – Exposure To
  • Varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions while performing outside tasks
  • In‑store temperatures ranging from 36°F to above 90°F, sudden changes in temperature
  • Fumes from food odors, exposure to cornmeal dust
  • Cramped quarters including walk‑in cooler
  • Hot surfaces and tools up to 500°F or higher
  • Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts
  • Delivery driving in varying weather conditions
Work Conditions – Sensing
  • Talking and hearing on telephone, near and mid‑range vision for most in‑store tasks
  • Depth perception
  • Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces
  • Far vision and night vision for driving
Temperaments

The role requires directing activities, performing repetitive tasks, working alone and with others, managing stress, meeting quality control standards, dealing with people, analyzing and compiling data, and making judgments and decisions.

Physical Requirements Standing

Most tasks are performed from a standing position with vertical work surfaces between 36" and 48".

Walking
  • Short distances for short durations
  • Delivery personnel transport between store and delivery vehicle and customer location
Sitting

Paperwork is normally completed at an office desk or table.

Lifting
  • Bulk product deliveries are unloaded two or more times weekly using a hand truck
  • Cases of ingredients and supplies may weigh up to 50 pounds
  • Cases are lifted from floor and stacked onto shelves up to 72" high
Carrying
  • Larger cans (3 lbs, 7 oz) carried from workstation to storage shelves
  • Pizza sauce (30 lbs) carried from storage to front of store
  • Trays of pizza dough (three at a time) weighing ~12 lbs per tray
  • Delivered pizzas and beverages while walking and climbing
Pushing
  • Move trays on dollies; stack weighing up to 7.5 lbs
  • Pull trays on dollies when necessary
Climbing
  • Occasional navigation of stairs or a ladder for maintenance and sign changes
  • Delivery may require navigation of five or more flights of stairs
Stooping & Bending
  • Forward bending at the waist at the pizza assembly station (30–45 seconds per position, repeated)
  • Tasks at the front counter and stocking
Crouching & Squatting

Occasional crouching/squatting to stock shelves and clean low areas.
