Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $14.22 / Hour

Job Schedule

  • Day Time Mon  02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
  • Tue 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
  • Wed 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
What You’ll Do
  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by following site‑specific access control procedures, credential verification steps, and emergency response activities at a defense‑related location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, review identification and/or visitor authorization, and document access activity in accordance with post orders and security‑related protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting suspicious activity, unsecured access points, and/or conditions that could impact security‑related operations.
  • Support screening and visitor management functions, provide directions and site information, and help to deter unauthorized access through consistent presence and professional communication.
Minimum Requirements
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.li>
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
