Refrigeration Maintenance, 2nd shift, Forest, MS

Job Description

This starter position in the Refrigeration Department involves cleaning and washing ammonia refrigeration air units and HVAC/MAU units on the roof, changing filters, cleaning the roof area, and shadowing Refrigeration Techs to learn the ammonia refrigeration system. The position is also open to future Refrigeration Tech roles.

Additional duties include creating Maintenance Notifications, work orders, confirming time in the SAP system, and performing other tasks as assigned.

• Ability to work in hot, cold, and wet environments.
• Capability to push, pull, or lift over 40 lbs and climb ladders above 10 feet.
• Expects walking and standing approximately 8.5 hours per day on a concrete floor.
• Work schedule:
  
  6 days a week with off days during the week, weekends and holidays as scheduled, possible shift rotation and overtime.
• Must pass a Level 4 pulmonary function test, remain recertified yearly, be clean shaven for proper fit with APR/SCBA equipment, and be a member of the Plant Hazmat Team.
• Complete Refrigeration and General Maintenance computer‑based training.
• Minimum 1 year of maintenance experience within the immediate past 2 years.

Applicants must have worked for Tyson no more than three times prior and must have completed at least 180 days since last employment with Tyson.
