Role Overview

Permanent part‑time role. Scan Scape Retail Scan Associates visit a designated selection of stores each week to scan all product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps throughout the store. The data collected is analyzed and used to improve the sales performance of the product and retailer (store).

• Grocery Store – Clinton, MD 20735 – Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday
• Grocery Store – Upper Marlboro, MD 20772 – Wednesday or Thursday
• Grocery Store – Oxon Hill, MD 20745 – Wednesday or Thursday
• Grocery Store – Waldorf, MD 20602 – Wednesday or Thursday

• Perform in‑store data collections at assigned local retailers every week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks
• Use a downloadable app on a mobile phone to scan barcodes throughout the store
• Provide quantity data for approximately 45% of the products scanned
• Complete display scanning each week; may take several hours to finish
• Complete custom projects as requested, adding 30 minutes to 2 hours of work for those weeks for each store
• Adhere to weekly deadlines to deliver data to clients
• Work independently and be deadline‑driven, maintaining quality in all work
• Estimated hours: 17–25 per week, depending on store size and project requirements

• At least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license
• Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto insurance coverage
• Ability to endure being on your feet for long periods and access products throughout the store
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, reach up to 6 feet, and bend/stretch/stoop/stand
• Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Must be a deadline‑driven self‑starter
• Must have access to reliable Wi‑Fi
• Must be tech savvy
• High school diploma or GED (preferred)
