The Facility Technician will perform routine cleaning and maintenance of areas that may include bathrooms, breakrooms, conference rooms, ground keeping, offices, production floor, warehouses, and yard maintenance.
Core Functions- Perform cleaning, sweeping, dust mopping, wet mopping all floors and corridors to ensure cleanliness.
- Determine type of chemicals and equipment necessary for specific cleaning tasks.
- Provide EH&S with the proper MSDS for any new chemicals used in the facility.
- Assist in set up and tear down of internal company events.
- Perform routine maintenance of housekeeping equipment.
- Order supplies and maintain inventory of supplies.
- Ensure that windows are washed, and carpets are vacuumed.
- Remove trash and other debris from entrances and exits to buildings, as well as offices and cubicles (as needed).
- Perform weekly outside sweep to remove trash and debris, as well as analyze facility for any issues.
- May perform monthly fire extinguisher evaluation.
- Identify cleaning problems and determine appropriate remedies.
- Create and maintain a daily and weekly cleaning schedule for facility cleaning.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required.
- 6 months of related experience required.
- Valid driver’s license may be required.
- Knowledge of the materials, supplies and equipment utilized in cleaning activities.
Occasional travel may be required.

This position is subject to Medium Work:

The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
Working ConditionsThe worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, including heat, noise, vibration, and hazards from a production‑based environment.
