Position Summary
The Director of Operationsoverseesoperational performance, safety, culture, and development across eight warehouse facilities within the RREWs. This leader serves as the bridge between site leadership and corporate operations, ensuring consistent execution of company standards, operational excellence, and alignment to WEROQ values. The Director of Operation swill partner closely with General Managers, HR, and cross-functional teams to drive productivity, cost optimization, and culture engagement throughout the network.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and support eight warehouse sites, ensuring consistent execution of operational goals, KPIs, and process standards.
- Partner with site leaders tooptimizespaceutilization, staffing levels, and inventory accuracy.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, site audits, and operational walkthroughs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and safety regulations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, standardization, and automation.
- Champion a culture ofsafetyas a non-negotiable standard, and monitor site TRIR, incident trends, and corrective actions.
- Mentor General Managers, cultivating their leadership ability and recognition.
- Support HR and L&D with onboarding, coaching, and leadership development programs.
- Partner withthe and Finance onbudgets, forecasts, and cost-savings initiatives.
- Monitor labor utilization, overtime, and productivity metrics.
- Lead regional alignment meetings and operational reviews.
- Serve as the first point of escalation for site issues requiring corporate visibility.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, ora related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in warehouse,logistics, or distribution environments.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficient in WMS, ERP, and data-driven decision making.
- Demonstrated ability to build culture, drive change, and achieve measurable results.
Physical Demands
- Ability tosit, stand, and walk for extended periods within office, warehouse, and yard environments.
- Regular use of computer,phone, and office equipment.
- Occasionally lift and move up to 50lbsduring site walkthroughs or facility inspections.
- Requires the ability to climb stairs and navigate various floor surfaces within the facilities.
- The work environment is highly variable, split between aprofessional office setting and afast-paced industrial warehouse/distribution setting.
- Requires the ability to adapt to environments with shifting priorities, temperature variations, and moderate noise levels typical of an operational warehouse.
- Regular work at various client sites or company facilities for operational oversight.
Travel Requirements
- Extensive travel will be required(up to 70%)tomaintaina strong and visible presence across all eight facilities in theregion.
- This includes frequent overnight travel for site visits, regional meetings, and corporate gatherings.
