Material Handler
Essential Job Functions Parts Packing
- Monitor computer screen to assemble the appropriate cardboard box for parts.
- Retrieve totes from the rolling line.
- Differentiate between various colored totes to ensure timely packing.
- Ensure proper packing of parts to prevent damage.
- Label boxes appropriately to ensure correct delivery.
- Stage parts on pallets to be shipped out of the warehouse.
- Monitor computer screen to begin assembly of appropriate materials in kits.
- Seal materials in bags or boxes accordingly.
- Stage assembled kits in totes to be delivered to the packing area.
- Be forklift certified.
- Monitor the computer system to locate appropriate parts from the warehouse.
- Retrieve parts from storage racks on the warehouse floor at varying heights and locations.
- Stage parts in totes to be delivered to appropriate location for assembly.
- Place sealed/assembled kits on conveyor for delivery to the packing area.
- Off‑stack materials from conveyor and stage on pallet.
- Transport pallets with pallet jack to appropriate locations.
- Manually lift/carry empty pallets and place them in the appropriate location in the staging area.
- Utilize the light system to locate missing parts in totes.
- Move totes down the assembly line.
- Stage totes to be delivered to appropriate locations for kit assembly.
- Ability to safely and successfully perform any/all essential job functions.
- Ability to meet and maintain all qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Maintain reasonably regular and punctual attendance.
- Compliance with all personnel policies and practices.
- On‑job training, regular training and re‑certification required.
- Ability to work alone for extended periods and in teams.
- Occasional manual lifting and carrying of empty pallets.
This role will help support our new distribution center in Forney, TX (13871 E US Highway 80 Frontage Road, Forney, TX 75126).
