Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to support production operations by improving equipment reliability, optimizing manufacturing processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This is a hands‑on engineering position that works closely with maintenance, production, automation, and quality teams to maximize equipment performance and manufacturing efficiency.
The ideal candidate enjoys working on the production floor, solving complex equipment challenges, and implementing process improvements that increase uptime, quality, and throughput.
Key Responsibilities- Provide engineering support for manufacturing equipment and production operations.
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to identify root causes and implement long‑term solutions.
- Partner with maintenance, automation, production, and quality teams to improve equipment performance and reliability.
- Develop and support preventive maintenance strategies that improve equipment uptime.
- Assist with equipment installation, commissioning, production line upgrades, and process validation.
- Analyze production data and recommend improvements that enhance productivity, reduce defects, and improve cycle times.
- Maintain engineering documentation, work instructions, drawings, and controlled technical records.
- Support troubleshooting of automated equipment, robotics, PLC‑controlled systems, sensors, and vision systems.
- Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on manufacturing efficiency and operational excellence.
- Provide technical guidance to maintenance technicians during equipment repairs and troubleshooting.
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience supporting production equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills involving automated manufacturing equipment and industrial processes.
- Experience working with robotics, automation systems, PLC‑controlled equipment, or vision inspection systems.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and technical documentation.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a production environment with significant time spent on the manufacturing floor.
- Experience in battery manufacturing, renewable energy, automotive, medical device, or other highly automated manufacturing environments.
- Experience supporting Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
- Six Sigma certification or Lean Manufacturing experience.
- Experience with Siemens automation platforms.
- Mandarin language skills are a plus.
- This is a 100% onsite position located in Forney, TX.
- Candidates with experience in battery manufacturing and industrial automation are highly preferred.
