Night Crew Supervisor
The Night Crew Supervisor is responsible for leading overnight store operations, ensuring efficient stocking, proper merchandising, and store readiness for daily business. This role supervises the night crew team, maintains inventory accuracy, and ensures all safety and operational standards are met while supporting overall store performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Execution
- Supervise overnight stocking operations including unloading, stocking, facing, and merchandising
- Ensure shelves are fully stocked, properly faced, and presentation-ready for opening
- Execute planograms, resets, and seasonal displays as directed
- Ensure backroom organization and proper product rotation (FIFO)
- Verify price tags, signage, and product placement accuracy
- Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, assign, and oversee nightly tasks for the night crew team
- Train and coach associates on stocking standards, productivity, and safety practices
- Monitor performance and provide feedback to improve efficiency
- Promote a positive, accountable, and team-driven work environment
- Support scheduling and labor allocation based on workload
- Productivity & Performance
- Ensure stocking is completed within scheduled time frames
- Monitor productivity levels and adjust workflow to meet goals
- Support inventory accuracy through proper handling and stocking procedures
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce workload bottlenecks
- Safety & Compliance
- Maintain a safe work environment and enforce proper equipment usage
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards
- Follow proper procedures for handling freight, pallets, and equipment
- Ensure aisles and work areas remain clean and hazard-free
- Store Readiness
- Prepare the store for opening by ensuring cleanliness, organization, and full stocking
- Communicate any overnight issues or out-of-stocks to store leadership
- Support store leadership with special projects and priority tasks
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous retail, grocery, or stocking experience preferred
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and lead a team overnight
- Flexible schedule including overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently; heavier lifting with assistance
- Continuous standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout shift
- Ability to work overnight shifts in a fast-paced environment
