Traffic Signal Installer
Job Type: Full-Time +, Non-Exempt
Pay: Competitive/Hourly
DescriptionThis position is responsible for installing and repairing traffic control equipment.

- Maintain electrical systems and microprocessor-based controllers including relays, wiring, conflict monitors, signal suspension cables, poles, communication modules, underground conduits, related lighting, and vehicle detectors.
- Calibrate and troubleshoot circuit boards, run diagnostic tests, analyze traffic flow data and design timing of signal control devices.
- Review inventory to ensure tools and replacement parts are available.
- Work independently and with crews, and report to administrative management.
- Communicate with customers and the public while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
- Keep company equipment and vehicles well maintained.
- Report to the General Foreperson any issues or concerns.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be able to read traffic blueprints and interpret plan set layouts.
- Ability to direct and oversee Traffic Signal Laborers.
- Able to operate heavy equipment to install signal items and install power service.
- Must be able to read, write and comprehend written and verbal instructions/information.
High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

License & CertificationsValid Driver's License required.
Travel RequirementsMust be willing to travel and work away from home.
