Job Summary:
The Operations Manager in Manufacturing Facility is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient workflow, inventory accuracy, safety compliance, and team productivity. This role requires strong leadership skills, hands‑on warehouse management experience, and the ability to operate warehouse machinery and equipment as needed to support operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:- Manage and oversee all first shift warehouse operations including receiving, shipping, inventory control, staging, and material handling.
- Lead, train, and supervise warehouse staff to ensure productivity, accuracy, and adherence to company policies.
- Coordinate daily workflow and staffing to meet production schedules and customer deadlines.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and other material handling machinery as needed.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate inventory transactions within warehouse management systems.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment while enforcing OSHA and company safety standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and ensure proper maintenance procedures are followed.
- Work closely with production, logistics, and purchasing teams to support operational efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to increase productivity and reduce operational costs.
- Assist with loading and unloading shipments and resolving shipping or inventory discrepancies.
- Prepare reports related to inventory, staffing, productivity, and warehouse performance metrics.
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or related certification preferred.
- 3+ years of warehouse management or supervisory experience.
- Previous experience operating forklifts and warehouse machinery required.
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or logistics environments preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and shipping/receiving procedures.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office applications.
- Forklift certification preferred.
- Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives is a plus.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills is a plus.
