Job Summary
We are seeking skilled and reliable Steel Erectors/ Cladders to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe installation of structural steelwork and external cladding systems. The role requires working at height, interpreting technical drawings, and ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities Steel Erection- Install and erect structural steel frameworks, beams, columns, and bracing systems.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and site plans.
- Align, bolt, and secure steel components accurately.
- Assist with crane lifts and slinging operations.
- Ensure all steelwork is installed in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Install roof and wall cladding systems, including composite panels, single-skin sheeting, flashings, gutters, and rainwater systems.
- Fit insulation materials and weatherproofing components.
- Ensure cladding is installed accurately and securely to achieve weather-tight finishes.
- Carry out repairs and remedial works when required.
- Adhere to all site health and safety procedures.
- Work safely at height using access equipment, MEWPs, scaffolding, and fall-arrest systems.
- Conduct pre-use inspections of tools and equipment.
- Report hazards, incidents, or unsafe conditions immediately.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Work effectively as part of a site team.
- Liaise with supervisors, subcontractors, and other trades.
- Meet project deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
- Attend toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Support site activities as directed by management.
- Previous experience in steel erection and/or cladding installation.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
- Experience working at height.
- Good understanding of construction site health and safety requirements.
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- CSCS Card.
- Full UK driving licence.
- IPAF Licence.
- PASMA Certification.
- CPCS Slinger/Signaller qualification.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Steel Erecting, Cladding Occupations, or related trade.
- First Aid at Work certification.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Safety-conscious approach to work.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Regular work at height.
- Travel to sites throughout the Country.
- Overtime and weekend work may be required to meet project schedules.
