Position: MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Psychiatry

Description

This is a contract position that requires on-site work, offering a unique opportunity to provide exceptional mental health care and support to our diverse patient population.

As a Psychiatrist, you will play a critical role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with mental health disorders. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans that enhance the well-being of our patients. This position is ideal for those who are passionate about mental health and are eager to make a positive impact in the community.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
  • Provide psychotherapy and medication management
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
  • Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities
Requirements
  • MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) degree from an accredited institution
  • Valid medical license to practice in Texas
  • Experience in psychiatric practice, preferably in a clinical setting
  • Strong diagnostic and assessment skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care

Schedule:

4 or 5-day workweek

Limited call shifts by phone

Setting:
Outpatient only

Hybrid work model available

Patient Population: C/A, adults, and geriatrics

Cases:
Mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, ADHD, PTSD, and substance use disorders

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
