About the Position: This position is located in the stand‑alone Occupational Health Clinic in Fort McCoy, WI. The clinic operates Monday through Friday, 0730 to 1600.
Advanced in‑hire may be authorized. Student Loan Repayment may be authorized. Recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for candidates who are new to Federal service.

Duties- Perform a variety of professional direct clinical duties within the field of Occupational Health.
- Complete comprehensive health and work history for patients.
- Interpret and evaluate changes of direct patient care.
- Use discretion to recognize early stages of serious physical, emotional, or mental patient problems.
- Develop written instructions and standard operating procedures to assure safe and quality care is being provided.
- Participate in peer‑review boards.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
- One‑year supervisory probationary period required. A one‑year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.
- This position has specific initial background investigation and periodic re‑verification requirements since its duties require interaction with children and youth under the age of eighteen (18) years of age on a recurring basis.
- Applicants must be able to fulfill credentialing requirements and obtain and maintain appropriate/relevant clinical privileges.
- Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
- This position requires you to satisfactorily complete a pre‑employment and annual physical examination.
- This position is subject to a pre‑employment drug screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on‑duty accident.
- Position requires employee to wear and use personal protective equipment as required and provided by the employer.
- This position has mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirements and is subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations unless otherwise exempted for medical or religious reasons (documentation of exemption must be provided upon hire).
- Must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross. Advanced certification (e.g., Advanced Life Support certification, or ALS) does not supersede BLS.
- This position requires the incumbent to complete mandatory tuberculosis testing.

Basic Requirements for Supervisory Physician Assistant:
- Education: Graduation from a physician assistant educational program, accredited by the Accreditation Review Committee on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC‑PA) or its predecessors, at a college, university, or educational institution that is accredited by an accrediting body or organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained.
- Certification: Successful completion of the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) examination; must maintain status as a certified physician assistant, including completion of all requirements for Continuing Medical Education (CME) and re‑certification.
