We currently have a career opportunity for a Full‑time Credit Analyst to join our team at our Fort Atkinson location.
This position is based onsite at our Fort Atkinson office and is fully in person during the initial onboarding period. Following successful onboarding and based on business needs, there may be an opportunity for a hybrid schedule of up to two remote workdays per week.
Position SummaryThe Credit Analyst is responsible for evaluating credit data and financial information to assess risk and provide sound recommendations regarding customer creditworthiness. This role partners closely with Loan Officers to support informed lending decisions, ensure loan requests align with current policy, and maintain accurate risk assessments. Key responsibilities include preparing credit presentations, completing annual relationship reviews, supporting internal reporting and audit requests, and assisting with various Credit Administration functions.
The role may also involve direct communication with customers to gather financial information, request documentation, and clarify credit‑related items as needed.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret customer financial information to assess creditworthiness and identify potential risks.
- Prepare credit presentations for both new requests and renewals, including financial analysis, risk assessment, and recommendations for loan structuring.
- Prepare annual reviews for credits to identify material changes in financial conditions and monitor ongoing portfolio performance.
- Work with Loan Officers to anticipate, identify, and collect documents needed for efficient, and timely approvals on new and existing credits while ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor applications and records for accuracy and completeness, maintaining proper documentation in credit management systems.
- Collect, organize, and track financial information, including cash flow projections and scenario analyses to support lending decisions.
- Assist in report preparation for monthly and quarterly management meetings, including portfolio summaries, risk reports, and other analytics.
- Review legal and financial documents as needed to support underwriting, credit structuring, and compliance.
- Assist with bank and client audits, providing documentation, analysis, and support as requested.
- Complete Credit Administration duties and other projects as assigned, including supporting Loan Officers with covenant monitoring, credit risk mitigation, and regulatory adherence.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field, and/or equivalent work experience
- Two to five years of experience in credit analysis and/or lending activities
Skills and Abilities
- Foundational understanding of financial statements including but not limited to tax returns, profit & loss statements, income statements, balance sheets, and other business financials
- Well-developed interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to notice discrepancies in data as well as work efficiently and accurately
