Must be able to drive a vehicle and travel by airplane. Must have valid Driver's license and insurability for driving.

Scope

Assists in managing the hotel's conference center, coordinating of events, and planning events.

Establishes a positive atmosphere and guest service attitude.

Assists with local marketing of the hotel's products and services.

Assists with the development of the hotel's products and services.

Maintain a high degree of service and foresight to ensure successful meetings, weddings, and events.

Enforces policies and procedures established by Cornerstone Mgmt.

Primary Responsibilities

Interview, train, and supervise staff for key positions including set up, banquet servers, and bartenders.

Handling of evaluation process and discipline of staff

Maintain and update all capital expenses as needed.

Control expenses with budgetary guidelines.

Order and maintain uniforms, linen, tables, chairs, serving ware, etc.

Meet with customers to review banquet event orders and review any changes, issues, or problems to ensure delivery of the quality product

Ensure attendance at all meetings as required

Maintain open communication with all departments within the hotel

Ensure all employees are maintained in uniform according to the handbook

Check email on daily basis and respond to guest needs

Create, oversee, and supervise the banquet staff schedule

Ordering, inventory, and security of liquor/beer inventory. Also, control expenses in line with budget.

Provide a safe working environment for all employees

On-call for staff questions and ability to work last minute due to staffing issues or hotel emergencies.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage closets.
