Physical

Must be able to drive a vehicle and travel by airplane. Must have valid Driver's license and insurability for driving.

Scope
  • Assists in managing the hotel's conference center, coordinating of events, and planning events.
  • Establishes a positive atmosphere and guest service attitude.
  • Assists with local marketing of the hotel's products and services.
  • Assists with the development of the hotel's products and services.
  • Maintain a high degree of service and foresight to ensure successful meetings, weddings, and events.
  • Enforces policies and procedures established by Cornerstone Mgmt.
  • Primary Responsibilities
  • Interview, train, and supervise staff for key positions including set up, banquet servers, and bartenders.
  • Handling of evaluation process and discipline of staff
  • Maintain and update all capital expenses as needed.
  • Control expenses with budgetary guidelines.
  • Order and maintain uniforms, linen, tables, chairs, serving ware, etc.
  • Meet with customers to review banquet event orders and review any changes, issues, or problems to ensure delivery of the quality product
  • Ensure attendance at all meetings as required
  • Maintain open communication with all departments within the hotel
  • Ensure all employees are maintained in uniform according to the handbook
  • Check email on daily basis and respond to guest needs
  • Create, oversee, and supervise the banquet staff schedule
  • Ordering, inventory, and security of liquor/beer inventory. Also, control expenses in line with budget.
  • Provide a safe working environment for all employees
  • On-call for staff questions and ability to work last minute due to staffing issues or hotel emergencies.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage closets.
