Maintenance Supervisor- 1st Shift

Jones Dairy Farm, a family owned and operated business for over 135 years, is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor – 1st Shift. Responsible for the effective planning, directing, and coordinating of all aspects of the maintenance procedures. This includes direct supervision over maintenance mechanics involved in the installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and facilities, scheduling, training, and productivity of the employees; quality of the work; safety compliance efforts; and equipment effectiveness. Under the direction of the manager, participate in facility and equipment layout and the purchase, installation, and improvement of equipment.

• Supervisor and schedule maintenance mechanics.
• Ensure the safety and security of the site.
• Assist the Maintenance Manager with new equipment purchases, installations, and improvements of existing equipment.
• Ensure maintenance mechanics conform to all safety standards and practices.
• Maintain and improve facilities and equipment to comply with current best practices in Sanitary Design.
• Actively participate in the management and improvement of the Process Safety Management Program.
• Participate as an active member of the HAZMAT team.
• Assist in all CMMS functions.
• Supervise and direct mechanics, as needed.
• Must be able to work 10-hour days and 6 to 7-day weeks as needed.
• Accept special projects and complete them promptly.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field or 5 years of previous maintenance experience.
• Must have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• This position requires a high level of confidentiality, discretion, and good judgment.
• Must be able to meet deadlines and maintain regulatory accuracy.
• Strong computer skills with a high level of proficiency in MS office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

• Experience with Process Safety Management
• Experience with CMMS program

• Manual dexterity to operate all office equipment efficiently
• Visual dexterity to operate all office equipment efficiently
