Sanitary Equipment Maintenance Lead – 2nd Shift

$29.00 – $34.00/hr + Daily Overtime & Sunday Double-Time Fort Atkinson, WI Area Dedicated 2nd Shift Full-Time / Direct Hire

What

You Will Be Doing (Daily Responsibilities)
  • Electro-Mechanical Maintenance:
    Execute complex maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across a highly automated production floor during the 2nd shift window.
  • Fluid Power Diagnostics:
    Maintain and rebuild fluid power systems, diagnosing hydraulic pumps, valves, cylinders, and pneumatic circuits as part of an aggressive PM program.
  • Packaging & Line Optimization:
    Level sanitary conveyors and fine-tune automated sorting and packaging machinery to eliminate line bottlenecks.
  • Emergency Breakdown Response:
    Rapidly isolate multi-variant electro-mechanical faults to minimize downtime and keep production throughput moving safely.
  • Welding & Fabrication:
    Perform structural welding and custom shop repairs, modifying equipment frameworks and creating custom fixtures for line enhancements.
  • Sanitary Compliance & CMMS:
    Maintain strict compliance with FDA, GMP, and SQF sanitary standards while logging work orders and PM tasks in the plant CMMS.
What We Are Looking For (Requirements & Qualifications)
  • Regulated Industry Background: 3+ years of experience troubleshooting equipment in clean, sanitary manufacturing environments (Food, Beverage, Pharma, or FDA/SQF operations).
  • Fluid Power & Mechanical Mastery: 3+ years of hands‑on expertise rebuilding and troubleshooting hydraulics, pneumatics, multi‑axis drives, and high-speed packaging machinery.
  • Welding & Fabrication Capability:
    Proven ability to perform structural welding, equipment modification, and custom shop fabrication.
  • Diagnostic Intuition:
    Strong electro‑mechanical fault‑tracing skills to systematically identify and resolve root‑cause line issues.
  • Shift Commitment & Reliability:
    Full, long‑term commitment to a dedicated 2nd shift schedule, backed by a stable employment record with strong tenure.
Preferred Technical Assets (Bonus Skills)
  • PLC & Controls Exposure:
    Basic ladder logic troubleshooting capabilities with Allen‑Bradley or Siemens PLCs.
  • Machining & Shop

    Skills:

    Hands‑on experience operating manual lathes, mills, or precision shop tools for custom part modification.
  • CMMS Systems:
    Familiarity with software platform work order tracking (e.g., Fiix, MP2, SAP Maintenance).
