Fort Health Care is a patient-centered hospital and healthcare system serving individuals, businesses and families in Jefferson, Dane, and Walworth Counties. We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our Inpatient Services team.

Shift Details

Part time – 72 hours per bi‑weekly pay period. Day/PM shift including every other weekend.

Job Summary

The Certified Nurse Assistant is responsible for providing patient care within the scope of practice under the guidance of the nurse. The CNA performs tasks and treatments beneficial to patient care and recovery as directed by the nurse.

Responsibilities
  • Assists adolescent, adult and geriatric patients in activities of daily living, including ambulating and transferring, patient safety and comfort measures.
  • Provides holistic care and performs treatments within the scope of practice and departmental guidelines, while assisting the nurse with nursing care and safety measures.
  • Reports concerns, data and abnormal findings to the RN.
  • Performs patient rounding and responds to call lights promptly.
  • Documents care provided and data elements required in the medical record.
  • Collaborates with members of the care team to provide quality patient care.
  • Assembles supplies and equipment and monitors inventory.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing assistant certification program.
  • CPR certification within department guidelines.
  • Must be on the WI State Nurse Assistant Registry.
