Receiving Supervisor- 2nd shiftDirect, supervise, and coordinate the activities of the Receiving Department through the preparation/receiving of company products, the receiving of raw materials, and storage thereof. Assures timely and efficient fulfillment of products through the assignment of duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIESAn essential job duty of this position is regularly reporting to work on time, and being able to perform the essential duties of the position.
- Ensure the department is operating in compliance with all safety requirements.
- Make recommendations concerning improvements to policies, procedures, techniques, facilities, and any other matter relative to enhancing the effectiveness of the department or Company.
- Coordinate and supervise activities of personnel determining work assignments.
- Communicate with all inbound/outbound carriers, manage trailer dock assignments and address any conflicts that arise during the unloading/loading process.
- Make certain all employees receive proper training.
- Coordinate consistent and equitable application of company policies and labor agreements.
- Ensure raw materials are received according to established quality standards, materials are properly identified and accounted for according to established procedures, and receiving documents are completed accurately and submitted promptly.
- Ensure products are shipped accurately and in proper rotation according to established quality standards, products are accounted for according to established standards, and all reports are maintained.
- Complete Regulatory and Operations paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain knowledge of receiving documents and possess the ability to create and process documents during the absence of the receiving clerk.
- Ensure department operates in an efficient manner (Labor, supplies, warehousing, support of operational departments).
- Ensure building components and equipment are properly maintained, creating work orders as needed.
- Meet quality standards/goals relating to food safety and quality as well as internal and external audit results/improvements.
- Respond to after-hours trailer incidents as needed
- Maintain inventory of receiving supplies and requisition replacement supplies as needed.
- Effectively communicates and collaborates with all departments.
- Must be able to work 10-hour days and 6 to 7-day weeks as needed.
- Accept special projects and completes them promptly.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation: Associate’s degree or possess comparable skills and experience in a logistics environment
Experience or Training: 2 years of supervisory/management experience. Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal and problem‑solving skills. Accuracy, confidentiality, efficiency, and professionalism are essential. Must possess the ability to motivate, coach, and direct people. Experience with conflict resolution and experience working in a union environment.
Technology/Equipment: Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with an ERP program.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSEducation: Associate’s degree in Logistics.
Technology/Equipment: Experience with a WMS program.

Much of the work for this position is performed in an office environment, however, there may be exposure to production areas requiring the use of PPE, uniform or protective clothing, and safety equipment.
