We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented
** Content Development & Editorial Specialist
** to support enterprise communications initiatives. This role is responsible for researching, writing, editing, designing, and producing high-quality content across multiple platforms, including websites, newsletters, social media, enterprise events, and print publications.
** Essential Functions
**** Content Development & Research
*** Research audience-relevant topics and develop long-and short-form content for digital and print platforms.
* Write articles, newsletters, social posts, and event-related content; conduct SME interviews and translate technical information into clear, accessible messaging.
* Ensure content accuracy, alignment, and relevance through collaboration with SMEs and program stakeholders.
** Digital Content & Social Media
*** Create engaging digital content-including posts, graphics, and multimedia-for social media and enterprise communication channels.
* Develop multimedia content packages supporting campaigns, initiatives, and enterprise events.
* Tailor messaging and formats to specific platforms, audiences, and communication goals.
** Graphic Design & Visual Communications
*** Design graphics, animations, and visual elements for websites, articles, presentations, and social media.
* Produce themed visual packages for high-visibility enterprise events and branded collateral for programs and initiatives.
* Maintain visual consistency and adherence to established branding guidelines.
** Editing, Proofreading & Quality Control
*** Edit and proofread content for clarity, tone, accuracy, and consistency across all communication products.
* Ensure compliance with AP Style and GPO style guidelines and apply plain language principles.
* Standardize event communications and ensure high-quality, audience-appropriate messaging.
** Collaboration & Workflow Management
*** Coordinate with SMEs, designers, and communication leads to support content planning and production.
* Manage multiple content projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality expectations.
* Maintain organized editorial workflows to support timely review, approval, and publication.## Qualifications
** Required Qualifications
*** Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Public Affairs, Marketing, or a related field.
* 3+ years of experience in content development, editorial support, or strategic communications.
* Proven ability to write and edit long-and short-form content across multiple platforms.
* Strong editing and proofreading skills with experience applying AP Style (GPO familiarity a plus).
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva.
* Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize deadlines, and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
** Preferred Qualifications
*** Experience supporting federal or enterprise-level communications programs.
* Experience interviewing senior leaders or technical SMEs and translating complex information for broad audiences.
* Familiarity with acquisition, workforce development, or higher education environments.
* Experience developing visual branding packages for large-scale events.
