Essential Job Functions:
User Evaluations:
Attend and actively participate in Human Factor Evaluations (HFE) and Limited User Evaluations (LUE) to gather direct feedback from Soldiers, ensuring that fielded equipment meets ergonomic, functional, and mission requirements. Program Management Support:
Assist in managing the Soldier Enhancement Program (SEP), tracking candidate concepts from initial proposal through operational evaluation, procurement, and fielding. Equipment Fielding:
Travel to various U.S. Army bases and installations to oversee and assist with the direct issue of new equipment to operational units. This includes facilitating smooth handovers and gathering immediate fielding feedback.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Serve as the primary user-advocate and operational subject matter expert within Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), collaborating with logisticians, engineers, and acquisition professionals to keep projects aligned with Department of War (DoW) objectives. Reporting & Documentation:
Compile evaluation reports, after-action reviews (AARs), and fielding status updates for program leadership informed decision making.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required. Possesses or able to obtain a Secret Clearance. Bachelor's plus 8 years of experience Able to travel 40 % of time. Stand and walk for extended periods in field environment. Lift, turn and bend with 40-pounds. Experience working with U.S. Army Soldiers of all ranks, ages, and levels of experience.
Proven experience in Department of War (DoW) acquisitions, military logistics and supply chain management, or operational testing and evaluation. Prior military service in a Close Combat Force (CCF) Military Occupational Series (MOS). Strong understanding of the Army's acquisition lifecycle, specifically regarding Rapid Fielding Initiatives and user-centric design principles. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate within IPTs, instruct users on new tactical equipment, and brief military leaders.
