This position requires onsite presence at our project site in Fort Belvoir, VA.

About The Job

The Tepa Companies are seeking an Environmental Air Compliance Specialist to support the Clean Air Act (CAA) Program at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. As the Environmental Air Compliance Specialist, you will provide technical support for air compliance activities, including permit compliance, inspections, emissions inventory management, regulatory reporting, audits, training, and air permitting support for facilities operating under Title V and minor New Source Review (mNSR) permits.

Work is performed on site at Fort Belvoir Main Post (Fort Belvoir, VA), Fort Belvoir North Area (Springfield, VA), and Rivanna Station (Charlottesville, VA).

Job Functions
  • Conduct compliance inspections and technical reviews to ensure adherence to federal, state, and permit requirements, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
  • Maintain emissions inventories, equipment records, emission calculations, and compliance documentation for regulated air emission sources.
  • Plan and perform air quality and refrigerant management compliance audits, document deficiencies, and prepare audit reports.
  • Develop, update, and deliver quarterly air compliance and refrigerant management training while maintaining training records and certifications.
  • Prepare recurring regulatory reports and certifications to support timely compliance with Title V, NSPS, greenhouse gas, emissions, and other air quality reporting requirements.
  • Provide technical support for air permitting activities, including permit applications, modifications, emissions calculations, and regulatory determinations.
  • Manage Air Program administrative functions, including monthly status reporting, recordkeeping, document management, and coordination of field activities.
  • Perform services in a safe manner
  • Meet quality standards specified for the position
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
