The Work

Lockheed Martin is seeking a level 3 Product Quality Engineer with a TS/SCI w/ Poly clearance to work from our Fort Belvoir, VA location. The position sits in the Product Quality (PQ) group located in Springfield, Virginia, and supports the Product Quality Engineering (PQE) lead and enterprise team both technically and administratively. The selected candidate will perform enterprise project performance and support for the SAGE contract.

Responsibilities

Specific tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyze existing product quality workflows to identify automation opportunities
  • Develop scripts/tools for data search, queuing, display, review, recording, and reporting
  • Build and maintain databases or data repositories for mission data tracking
  • Create dashboards for quality metrics visualization and trend analysis
  • Integrate tools with existing GEOINT systems and workstations
  • Collaborate with personnel to understand pain points and validate solutions
  • Document code, processes, and user guides for sustainability
  • Provide technical support and iterate on tools based on user feedback
  • Assess performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures
  • Research, analyze, and compile technical data for government products and system‑level concepts in operational environments to optimize effectiveness
  • Support enterprise tests and mission integration including end‑to‑end system readiness, training and documentation
  • Support GEOINT product verification and validation
  • Provide subject‑matter expertise in sensor processing, phenomena, and environmental effects for multiple Geographical Information Systems (GIS)
Qualifications Basic Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Python (primary) and/or other relevant languages such as R, SQL, JavaScript, Bash
  • Experience with pandas, numpy, or similar data processing libraries
  • Demonstrated experience automating repetitive workflows and tasks
  • Active TS/SCI with CI Poly security clearance is required
Desired Skills Advanced Technical Skills
  • Database management: SQL query optimization, experience with Postgre

    SQL, MySQL (preferred), or Oracle (preferred) databases
  • API development: RESTful API integration for tool connectivity
  • Web development:
    Ability to learn frameworks and use best practices for custom tool interfaces
  • Cloud platforms:
    Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP for scalable solutions
  • Data visualization:
    Ability to create dashboards and visual analytics using matplotlib, plotly, Tableau, Power BI, Grafana, or similar tools
Imagery Analysis Background
  • Familiarity with electro‑optical, remote sensing, or geospatial data
  • Experience with ESRI products, ENVI, SOCET GXP, Remote View, or similar platforms
Process Improvement Expertise
  • Workflow optimization:
    Knowledge of proven process improvement methodologies
  • User experience (UX):
    Designing intuitive interfaces for engineer workflows
  • Agile development:
    Experience with iterative development and user feedback integration
  • System integration:
    Connecting disparate systems and data sources
