Job Overview
Leidos is seeking a Data Analyst specializing in data visualization to design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI and Micro Strategy. The role supports mission‑critical operations by transforming complex datasets into actionable insights for business strategy, decision‑making, and IT operations sustainment.
Responsibilities- Design, build, and deploy interactive dashboards, reports, and dossiers using Power BI and Micro Strategy.
- Identify, extract, and analyze data to support IT operations and system sustainment initiatives.
- Extract, transform, and load data from disparate structured and unstructured sources.
- Collaborate with business leaders and IT decision‑makers to gather requirements and translate them into technical visualization specifications.
- Interrogate and analyze complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that support strategic initiatives.
- Validate data accuracy, troubleshoot reporting anomalies, and optimize dashboard performance for end‑users.
- Provide guidance, documentation, and training to end‑users on how to interact with and interpret visualization tools.
- Develop and maintain documentation, standard operating procedures, and data dictionaries for delivered products.
- Ensure tools comply with DoW STIGs and IL5/IL6/IL7 protocols and maintain traceability of compliance.
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
- BS with 8+ years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 6+ years of relevant experience (additional experience may substitute for a degree).
- Active Top‑Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance required at the time of hire.
- Active IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+, CySA+, GSEC, or SSCP).
- United States citizenship required.
- Proven professional track record in data analysis, business intelligence, and building data visualizations for enterprise use.
- Familiarity with IT operations and sustainment, including how to identify and apply relevant data to support these functions.
- Experience with data extract, transform, and load (ETL) techniques using disparate sources.
- Advanced hands‑on experience with Power BI (including DAX and Power Query) and Micro Strateg® reporting.
- Strong command of SQL and experience querying complex relational databases and data warehouses.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical findings clearly to non‑technical audiences.
- Familiarity with Python or R for advanced data manipulation and statistical analysis.
- Industry certifications in Power BI (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate) or Micro Strateg®.
- Understanding of data‑warehousing concepts and advanced semantic‑layer modeling.
