- Deploy, administer, and optimize VMware ESXi, vCenter, and Omnissa VDI environments across multiple physical sites.
- Manage and maintain VDI infrastructure components, including connection brokers, gateways, profile management, load balancing, and virtual desktop lifecycle operations.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize virtual infrastructure performance, availability, and resource utilization, resolving issues related to virtualization, networking, connectivity, and system performance.
- Implement and maintain virtualization technologies, including distributed switching, VLANs, backup and disaster recovery solutions, and integration with enterprise network, storage, and security architectures.
- Perform system maintenance, upgrades, patching, and vulnerability remediation to ensure a secure, compliant, and highly available virtualized environment.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, and engineering teams to design, implement, and enhance virtualization solutions that support mission and operational requirements.
- Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance and current DoD IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE or equivalent).
- Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience; additional experience may be substituted for education.
- Experience administering VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi, vCenter Server, vSAN, vSphere Networking, and Omnissa Horizon technologies (App Volumes, DEM, UAGs).
- Proficiency with Active Directory, Windows Server, FSLogix, Dell Wyse management, virtualization best practices, troubleshooting, and technical documentation.
- Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible or PowerCLI for automation tasks.
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP) certifications.
