Duties

Help

  • Act as the Assured Logistics Cyber Center (J613) Liaison Officer, providing a critical linkage between current operations (CuOPs), future operations (FuOPs), and cybersecurity activities.
  • Supports DLA efforts in support of Combatant Command (CCMD), Service, Joint Staff (JS), Office of Secretary of Defense (OSD), and other Agency customers by integrating cybersecurity and resilience into the mission.
  • Co-located in the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Agency Synchronization Operations Center (ASOC), which serves as the hub for operational fusion for the DLA enterprise.
  • Serves as an Assured Logistics Cyber Center (ALCC) Liaison in the ASOC, responsible for monitoring cyber impact on the mission.
  • Coordinates with Major Subordinate Commands (MSCs), regional commanders, and DLA J6 to develop a Common Operational Picture focused on cyber resilience for DLA Senior Leadership.

Qualifications

To qualify for an IT Specialist (PLCYPLN/INFOSEC) your resume and supporting documentation must support:

  • Specialized

    Experience:

    One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector.

    Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
  • Extracts and analyzes information from critical infrastructure, applications, networks, contingency planning and findings from exercises to identify cybersecurity trends and emerging threats.
  • Prepares and provides logistical analyses with updated metric data, identifying potential impacts and actionable intelligence to optimize support to the organization.
  • Participate in routine and special meetings as the cyber liaison to ensure decisions are consistent with business practices and cybersecurity policies.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, Ameri Corps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
