Systems Engineer
Job Summary
The Configuration/Requirements Engineer is responsible for managing system requirements, technical baselines, configuration items, and engineering changes throughout the system lifecycle. This role ensures that requirements and system configurations are accurately documented, traceable, controlled, and aligned with customer and program objectives. The Configuration/Requirements Engineer works closely with systems engineering, software, hardware, integration, test, and program teams to manage requirements, evaluate technical changes, maintain configuration baselines, and support compliance with established engineering and quality processes.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Develop, document, maintain, and manage system, subsystem, and software requirements throughout the system lifecycle. Analyze customer and program requirements and support their decomposition, allocation, clarification, and validation. Establish and maintain requirements traceability from customer needs through system design, implementation, integration, and verification. Manage requirements baselines and ensure approved requirements are properly controlled and documented.
