Intelligence Specialist; Management

Duties

• Serves as the Intelligence Planner for the Assistant Chief of Staff G3, Plans, U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM).
• Analyzes organizational intelligence requirements to identify priorities affecting current and future mission objectives.
• Coordinates intelligence strategies and courses of action to address operational requirements and emerging mission needs.
• Integrates intelligence considerations into the Military Decision-Making Process in support of operational forces.
• Assesses intelligence capabilities and functional requirements affecting training, deployment, employment, or sustainment of operational forces.
• Reviews changes to intelligence policy, doctrine, regulations, and directives to determine their impact on organizational intelligence activities.
• Resolves non-routine intelligence issues through application of governing intelligence authorities and established guidance.
• Advises leadership on intelligence issues requiring organizational action or decision.
• Represents organizational intelligence positions during planning teams, working groups, or other professional forums.

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance based on a T5 investigation/Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
• In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
• Requires Temporary duty (TDY) CONUS and OCONUS travel constitute up to 25% of the time.
• All INSCOM staff may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
• Two-year trial/probationary period may be required.
