QinetiQ US is looking to hire a Software Developer to support the development of systems and tools for electro‑optical capabilities at the C5

ISR Center customer site at Fort Belvoir, VA. This position is a rare opportunity to lead a hands‑on modernization effort and shape the future of secure R&D platforms.

• Working with Optical Scientists to design and develop python frameworks and programs to help with testing and evaluation
• Support modernization of legacy systems
• Support development of testing capabilities for new COTS and GOTS equipment

• BS degree in an engineering discipline or Computer Science and 4 years of experience with Agile (Jira), Git version control, technical documentation, and Wikis.
• Proficiency in Python
• Live in the National Capital Region and work at the customer site on Fort Belvoir, VA.
• Must have an active DoD Secret or higher level clearance

• Familiarity in NI LabVIEW
• Familiarity with creating, maintaining python modules and libraries
