Maintenance Staff
Join Camp Mendocino as Maintenance Staff and assist the Camp Caretaker in maintaining facilities. Responsibilities include grounds‑keeping, painting, carpentry, plumbing, laundry, dining hall cleanup, dish washing, chopping wood, trash removal, recycling, and general upkeep to keep camp safe and welcoming for youth and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Provide support to all areas and departments at Camp
- Dishwashing
- Trash pick up and disposal
- Keep Camp clean and safe for all campers
- Laundry as needed
- Perform repairs and maintain functioning equipment
- Painting, light carpentry, basic plumbing, chopping wood
- Landscaping
- Other duties as assigned
- Experience in general handy work
- Basic understanding of working with tools
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to work in a team
- Good communication skills
- Plumbing experience
- Basic electrical experience
- Basic woodworking skills
- Basic vehicle maintenance
- Positive interaction with youth
- Lift 50 lbs
- Walk 3 miles on uneven terrain
- Stand 8 hours (with breaks)
- Work in temperatures 30°–100°
- Temporary/Seasonal Summer position
- Available June 12 – August 6, 2026 and live on‑site at Camp Mendocino
- 40–56 hours/week with two days off per week (days off vary per session)
Lodging is provided for all staff on site. Maintenance Staff will reside in bunk‑style indoor housing shared with up to eight other staff members.

Wage range for this temporary summer position from June 12 – August 6, 2026 is approximately $4,195.
