Overview
Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Fort Bragg, California. Travel assignment starts 06/08/2026 for 13 weeks, offering 36 hours per week on a 12-hour day shift (3x12s). This position is a travel - temporary assignment in a hospital setting. Weekly pay ranges from $1,928 to $1,988. The unit provides intensive, comprehensive care and monitoring for medical, surgical, and cardiac patients who have experienced shock, trauma, or other life‑threatening conditions.

- Unit scope:
Medical, surgical, and cardiac critical care patients - Extension opportunities may be available
- Deliver direct nursing care for ICU patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Monitor patient status, interpret telemetry and vital signs, titrate medications as ordered, and document care accurately.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care for patients with shock, trauma, or other life‑threatening conditions.
- Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff at various levels, ensuring patient safety, infection control, and continuity of care.
- Respond to rapidly changing patient conditions with critical thinking, professional judgment, and timely escalation when needed.
- Maintain accurate, complete documentation in the electronic medical record and communicate effectively with families and care teams.
- Active RN license (California) or equivalent licensure as required by state regulations.
- ICU or critical care nursing experience in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts (3x12-hour shifts) and adapt to a travel assignment schedule.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team on complex patient cases.
