Job Summary

RN – ICU. Day Shift 36‑hour contract; 0700‑1930. BLS, ACLS and PALs preferred. Critical care experience required. Cerner experience a big plus.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high‑quality ICU nursing care to critically ill patients on site.
  • Monitor patient condition, document vitals, and respond to changes promptly.
  • Administer medications, IVs, and advanced life support as protocols dictate.
  • Demonstrate accountability by meeting individual targets and contributing to team metrics.
  • Maintain strict infection control and patient safety standards on the floor.
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Document care accurately in electronic health records for audit readiness.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and pursue relevant certifications.
  • Lead or participate in daily huddles to align on patient care plans.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance care efficiency.
  • Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions.
Experience / Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse with current ICU/critical care license and certifications.
  • Minimum 2–3 years ICU experience with advanced life support skills.
  • Proficiency in ICU procedures, ventilator management, and vasoactive infusions.
  • Accurate documentation in electronic health records and audit readiness.
  • Strong infection control adherence and patient safety focus.
  • Willingness to engage in continuous professional development and obtain further certifications.
  • Ability to lead or participate in daily huddles and care planning.
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting performance targets and patient outcomes.
  • Strong communication skills for patient/family education and multidisciplinary collaboration.
  • Process improvement mindset with experience identifying efficiency opportunities.
