Position: Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job

Overview

Registered Nurse – Med Surg travel assignment in Fort Bragg, California. Start date 07/06/2026 for 13 weeks. Earn $1,760–$1,778 per week. 36 hours per week on 12‑hour day shifts (3 days per week). General acute care hospital setting providing care to a mixed medical‑surgical patient population.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver coordinated nursing care for an assigned group of patients according to standards of care and the nursing process
  • Assess patient conditions, implement care plans, administer medications, and monitor responses; document findings in the medical record
  • Coordinate with other disciplines and supervise activities of various levels of nursing staff to ensure seamless patient care
  • Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and support teams to optimize outcomes and ensure safe transitions of care
  • Maintain patient safety and infection control practices; provide patient and family education and participate in discharge planning
  • Work on a general acute care med‑surg unit with a mix of medical and surgical patients, using critical thinking and independent judgment in daily care
Requirements
  • Active California RN license (or eligibility)
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association)
  • 1+ year of medical‑surgical/acute care nursing experience preferred
  • ASN or BSN in Nursing
  • Ability to work 12‑hour shifts in a hospital setting and adapt to unit needs
