Position: Travel Registered Nurse ER Job

Overview

Registered Nurse - ER travel assignment in a rural, 25-bed critical access facility located in Fort Bragg, California.

Start date:

10/12/2026 for a 13-week assignment. Weekly pay range: $2,019-$2,088 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 3x12 nights, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM. This assignment focuses on acute care emergency department nursing within a smaller hospital setting.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver direct nursing care to ER patients using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
  • Monitor patient status, interpret data, and promptly escalade changes in condition to the treating team
  • Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and perform procedures within scope of practice
  • Collaborate with physicians, ancillary staff, and family members to coordinate rapid, safe patient care
  • Develop and update care plans, participate in discharge planning, and provide patient education to patients and families
  • Support and supervise other nursing staff as assigned, maintaining a safe, healing environment
Requirements
  • Licensure:
    Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (California)
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Experience:

    Minimum two years of recent ER/acute care experience
  • Certifications:

    BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and S.T.A.B.L.E. certification required
  • Additional: TNCC preferred; ability to work night shifts in a hospital/ER setting
