Job Overview
Open to U.S. citizens only. Requires current Top Secret/SCI clearance and the ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI Public Trust. The role expects more than 10 years of experience in software engineering for mission‑critical systems and is located at Fort Bragg, NC with a hybrid work model (3 days on site, 2 days remote).
Responsibilities- Lead the integration of modern AI, LLMs, and RAG into existing applications and workflows.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable AI-enabled web applications using Streamlit, React, or equivalent frameworks.
- Develop clean, maintainable Python code and RESTful APIs (FastAPI preferred).
- Architect and implement CI/CD pipelines and container deployments with Docker, and extend to Kubernetes when needed.
- Work with PostgreSQL and MySQL to ensure data integrity, performance, and security.
- Collaborate across cross-functional teams to define, design, test, and deliver new features while ensuring high standards for security, reliability, and maintainability.
- Contribute throughout the software development life cycle from concept to sustainment.
- Validate, log, and troubleshoot AI workflows with appropriate error handling, retries, and fallback strategies.
- Advanced Python programming with an emphasis on clean, maintainable code.
- Experience building AI‑enabled web applications or analytics dashboards with Streamlit or similar.
- Strong understanding of web technologies, containerization, RESTful APIs, and UI development.
- Hands‑on development of scalable Python backend solutions.
- Proficiency with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Expertise with Docker; knowledge of Kubernetes is a plus.
- Proficient with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Full‑stack experience and familiarity with the software development life cycle.
- Strong independent and collaborative work habits in a fast‑paced environment.
- Modern front‑end development with React.
- Design or development of LLM‑powered agentic workflows (tool calling, multi‑step execution).
- Experience with component‑based UI patterns, state management, and reusable design.
- Integration of React frontends with Python‑based APIs.
- Background in AI/ML, data analytics, or mission‑focused software.
- Knowledge of cloud‑native development, Dev Sec Ops , and secure delivery environments.
- Experience with MLOps concepts (model registry/ versioning, reproducible environments).
- Expertise in CI/CD for ML‑enabled systems.
- Current TS/SCI clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- U.S. citizenship (required by U.S. Government contract).
- Hybrid work model: 3 days on site in Fayetteville, NC, and 2 days remote.
Salary range: $146,200 – $197,800 (subject to experience, location, and contractual terms).
Schedule & TravelStandard 40‑hour week. Less than 10% travel required.
TelecommutingHybrid work option with two remote days per week.
