Verifying Official; VO​/Card Operator, USARC DEERS​/RAPIDS

Job Summary

Yorktown Systems Group is seeking a highly qualified Verifying Official (VO)/ Operator to provide administrative support services to the US Army Reserve Command (USARC) G-1, necessary for processing identification issuance requests and issuing identification badges for building and system access to eligible recipients in support of the USARC Identification Card Office (ICO).

• Provide administrative support services and effectively staff the designated USID Card Office during operating hours.
• Be responsible for the accountability, control, verification, and issuance of USIDs and CACs for active duty military, reserve, National Guard members, retirees, family members/dependents, and other eligible recipients.
• Perform USID and CAC issuance support services by processing identification issuance requests and supporting the Government’s issuance of identification badges for building and system access systems in accordance with regulations and DoD policy directives.
• Operate the USARC’s USID Card Issuance Systems to verify information and conduct all required background checks to ensure verification of the recipient’s eligibility with a 100 percent degree of accuracy.
• Perform all required USID and CAC issuance verification tasks including researching and reviewing source documents, verifying eligibility, and discussing entitlements as defined in accordance with regulations, DoD policy directives, and the RAPIDS Training Guide.
• All Contractor personnel staffing RAPIDS Workstations shall be certified as “VOs.”
• Ensure uniformed service members, their family members, and other eligible beneficiaries receive the DoD benefits to which they are entitled.
• Perform all VO tasks which includes, but is not limited to:
  • Protect privacy and confidentiality of data on the RAPIDS terminal screen.
  • Verify the identity of card recipients as required by applicable regulations before entering applicant data in RAPIDS.
  • View and scan documents that establish benefit or  eligibility before entering data into DEERS or issuing .
  • Enter DoD sponsor and family member information, issue DoD  using RAPIDS workstations, suspend privileges, and update DEERS as necessary.
• Process and complete DEERS/RAPIDS input and updates accurately and in a timely manner. Contractor shall maintain all required information and records in the DEERS/RAPIDS system.
• Operate DEERS RAPIDS equipment to update and maintain electronic and paper filing systems to support CAC statistics, hiring actions, and the entry of any additional CAC information and correspondence received.

• Possess a high school diploma (or equivalent) and one year of experience in a customer service environment, preferably in an HR-related position.
• Be able to perform various administrative tasks and procedures and exercise discretion.
• Be proficient in oral and written communication, and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and basic office equipment such as computers, copiers, fax machines, and scanners.
• Successfully complete RAPIDS certification in accordance with PWS 1.16.

An Active SECRET Security Clearance is required for all positions located at the USARC G-1 (Fort Bragg, NC); all other positions must pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) Tier 1 investigation and background check.
