Duties
* Serves as a project manager for Army-wide doctrinal and training literature (ADTL) publications and other related training administrative publications.
* Serves as an editor for complex instructional publications and other related training administrative publications.
* Develops original graphics and document layouts to best present information.
* Coordinates proposed changes in approach, emphasis, or presentation directly with the writer.
* Plans, prepares, and provides a comprehensive outline of the rough manuscript and formats complex publications.
* Crafts original text and rewrites existing text to more effectively reach intended target audience. Requirements Conditions of employment
* Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
* Incumbent required to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
* TDY travel up to 5% may be required.

Experience:

One year of specialized experience which includes
1) Proofreading documents to ensure correct grammatical format;
2) Reviewing documents to ensure copyrights are not violated and
3) Reviewing documents to ensure the text is consistent with the charts, tables, and other graphic materials. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR

Education:

Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as:
Business Administration or Marketing. OR Combination of

Education and Experience:

A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18.

Experience:

One year of specialized experience which includes
1) Proofreading documents to ensure correct grammatical format;
2) Editing and formatting technical manuals and other professional publications (such as journals, doctrine, trade publications, studies) to correct grammar and formatting errors;
3) Reorganizing manuals/regulations and incorporate graphic elements as needed to ensure clarity of information and
