Position Overview: A premier healthcare facility near Fort Bragg, North Carolina, is seeking a skilled Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN) physician for a locum tenens opportunity. This role will provide supplemental coverage, offering a chance to work in a rewarding practice setting with a strong clinical support system.

Assignment Details:

• Role: Locum Tenens OB/GYN Physician
• Coverage Type: 24-Hour Call Only
• Dates Needed:
  • December 27-29, 2024
  • January 4-5, 2025
  • February 28, March 1-2, 2025
• Practice Setting: Inpatient only (no outpatient duties required)
• Location: Near Fort Bragg, North Carolina

Practice Highlights:

• Patients Per Shift: Varies based on patient needs
• On-Call Responsibilities:
  • Available for emergent C-sections and vaginal deliveries
  • Handle emergent gynecologic procedures as needed
• Additional Support:
  • No supervision of residents or advanced practice providers required
  • Facility does not require hospital or surgery center privileges

Skills and Certifications Required:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
• Active NC medical license, NC DEA with NC address, and NC Medicaid credential
• Must be fully vaccinated
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS, ABLS
• Skilled in:
  • Routine and complex deliveries, including VBAC, breech, multiple births
  • Surgical gynecology (minor and major procedures)
  • Obstetric ultrasound interpretation (Level I and Level II)
  • Advanced OB/GYN procedures including amniocentesis, forceps, and cesarean delivery

Additional Requirements:

• Providers must have an active Medicare PECOS enrollment
• No recent or open malpractice cases
• Must be credentialed with Medicare and able to submit recent case logs (last 24 months)
• Prefer providers within driving distance or with capped travel expenses

Credentialing & Support:

• Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 10 days
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Medi Tech 6.1
• Travel: Reimbursement available (travel costs, including mileage, rental car, and airfare)
• Lodging: Hospital-recommended accommodations provided
