Threat Tec, LLC, a Veteran‑Owned Small Business, is hiring Levantine Arabic Associate Language Instructors to join our company at Fort Liberty in North Carolina.

Language Associate Language Instructor will assist the 1st Special Forces Command (Airborne) 1st SFC(A) in managing and supporting the unit’s foreign Language, Regional Expertise, and Cultural (LREC) instruction and LREC program services.

• Assist Government (GOVT) in the management of all aspects of the unit’s foreign LREC training that enhances the effectiveness of the 1
  
  SFC(A)’s advanced LREC training program.
• Execute planned POI and ad‑hoc tutoring sessions, teaching language curriculum based on designated POI and not deviating from POI without approval from GOVT.
• Develop daily lesson plans (at least one day in advance), take attendance, annotate student learning and behavior progress, and develop weekly progress reports.
• Develop, review, correct, and grade daily homework; provide weekly feedback with Site Lead and POI analyst for weekly assessments and quizzes.
• Review, distribute, and grade weekly assessments and quizzes.
• Maintain a positive and professional learning environment, address student behavior/attendance concerns with site lead, and utilize designated materials approved by GOVT to support instruction.
• Collaborate with Site Lead, POI analyst, or Language Instructional Developer to address student and curriculum gaps.
• Deliver instruction in listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills, as well as regional and cultural subjects, using modern communicative methodology and technologies such as Smart Boards, Blackboard, Rapid Rote, SharePoint, the Internet, iPads, tablet PCs, or other government‑supplied devices.
• Develop learning materials as required and employ computer skills to organize data and teaching materials.
• Meet ILR level 2 or higher as measured by a DoD test.
• Score at least 553 on the TOEFL PBT or TOEFL iBT: minimum 83 overall and at least 20 in each of Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing.
• Score at least 82 on the English Comprehension Level (ECL) test.
• Attain at least proficiency level 2 or Advanced‑Low (ACTFL) on an OPI.
• Demonstrate general professional proficiency (ILR level 2+ or ACTFL Advanced‑High) in the specified foreign language via Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI) or two‑skill OPI from the DLIFLC, an ACTFL interview, or a Defense Language Proficiency Test.
• Provide instruction in speaking, listening, writing, and reading skills.
• Provide instruction on regional and cultural topics.
• Integrate technology in the classroom and in homework assignments.
• Develop learning materials.
• Complete at least 80 hours of documented training in online language teaching.
• All candidates must take and pass the foreign language test.
• May be required to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
