* Identify deviations from policy on instructor training and certification and identifies and assists in corrective actions.
* Conduct in-depth reviews of instructional materials.
* Coordinate curriculum development by assisting in the design of instructional blocks providing guidance to other faculty members on academic standards and instructional objectives.
* Develop lesson plans, course materials, criterion referenced performance tests and self instructional objectives.
* Review training material to develop new materials in compliance with the instructional design.
* Evaluate student presentations for appropriate techniques.
* Evaluate instruction, and use of materials requiring in-depth knowledge of theories of educational course development and academic methods.
* Communicate with staff and faculty on training.
* Maintain liaisons to exchange course information to improve areas of instruction.
* Incorporate emerging technologies into classroom setting to optimize learning outcomes.
* Prepare correspondence regarding instructor training and certification.
* Evaluate student feedback to modify courses and methods of instruction. Requirements Conditions of employment
* Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
* This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance.
* This position has a requirement to lift up to 50 lbs. in the regular performance of duties
* Completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter.
* This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
* Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements
* This position is subject to the provisions of the Domestic Violence Offender Gun Ban commonly referred to as the Lautenberg Amendment.
* This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
* Must be capable of participating in rotary wing operations, fast rope operations with full body armor and helmet, multi-story rappelling and entry operations.
* The nature of special operations training requires high-standards of mental and physical fitness. Incumbent must participate in Special Forces and special operations field exercises in rough terrain.
* Ability to land navigate during both day and night, walk up to five miles with a 50 pound rucksack, navigate obstacles requiring bending, kneeling, crawling, and climbing.
* Maybe Required to give platform instruction that may require prolonged standing, up to eight straight hours.
* Maybe required to work, regardless of weather conditions. High-risk training is prevalent. Qualifications Who May Apply:
