Our work depends on a Network Engineer joining our team to focus on the technical aspects of data center network architecture and operations. The engineer will work daily alongside engineering staff at the site to become thoroughly familiar with the unique processes and requirements related to DOD-specific configurations and challenges. This role will also serve as a team lead.
IT Infrastructure and Operations
Education- Associate’s Degree or equivalent
- 8+ years of related experience or a combination of education and experience
- DOD 8570 IAT level II required
- Analyze customer requirements and provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems
- Perform maintenance and upgrades of networks, including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and networks
- Maintain network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies and maintaining system backup and recovery capabilities
- Coordinate the acquisition of hardware and software, as well as subcontractor services as needed
- Create plans and configure systems for data communication networks
- Design and build hardware and software components for computer or telecommunications networks
- Evaluate new communications technologies to enhance network capabilities
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
- TS/SCI required to start
Skills And Abilities
- Good communication skills; shows tact, effective listening skills, and follow-through
- Detail-oriented and organized; able to understand network evaluation criteria and be exact in assessments
- CCNA or equivalent certification
- Military experience
- On Customer Site
- USA, NC, Fort Bragg
- US Citizenship
