Field Service Representative

Overview

Field Service Representative (F S R) at JB Management Inc. This role involves support for military radar systems, field training, and on-site maintenance and data reporting. Training will occur at the OEM facility with potential additional training at military sites. After training, the FSR will provide hands-on support and coaching to military units receiving radar systems and may deploy with assigned units.

Work locations include Forward Operating Bases, Forward Repair Areas, US military bases, and locations globally.

• Provide over-the-shoulder training to Army gaining units in radar operation and limited operator maintenance.
• Maintain radar systems to ensure required operational availability.
• Perform all supply chain operations in support of radar maintenance.
• Collect and supply data to support Army reporting requirements.
• Report issues or concerns to appropriate personnel.

• Troubleshooting and repair of radar subsystems and related units (e.g., Octapacks, SDP, Exciter/Receiver).
• Inventory control and spares management.
• Experience with MAXIMO or similar configuration management systems.
• Data collection and reporting for military service requirements.
• Supervision or coordination of field FSRs and response to emergency requirements.
• Training delivery to military service units and briefing of senior military personnel on program status and issues.

• Experience with US ground-based radar systems such as AN/TPQ-50, AN/TPQ-53, AN/TPQ-36, AN/TPQ-37, or similar systems.
• Knowledge of radar theory, design, field testing, and electro-mechanical maintenance, including troubleshooting, fault isolation, repair/replacement techniques, and documentation.
• Working knowledge of Army logistics and supply procedures is desirable.
• Must be able to lift/move 50 pounds or more unassisted.
• Ability to assist in development/publication of training, maintenance, and logistics publications and provide field engineering input for defense programs. May be asked to validate and recommend changes to operator manuals for the assigned radar system.

• Physical demands:
  Able to stand, walk, sit, use hands to manipulate objects, reach with hands/arms, talk and hear. Must occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds. Vision requirements include near, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Work environment:
  Office-type environment with temperature control. This position is inside a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF). No personal devices with radio transmitters or receivers may be brought into the office. May be exposed to chemicals related to office equipment.
